A man in Pennsylvania was sentenced to 3,000 years in prison after being convicted of child sex crimes.
The conviction arose from a testimony of a young victim who claimed that she was raped so regularly that it “became as normal as brushing your teeth.”
Matthew Perry of Greensboro was convicted in November of “13,143 felony counts of sex crimes against children, including 2,190 felony charges of rape of a child under 13; 2,190 felony charges of deviant sexual intercourse with a child; 2,191 felony charges of aggravated indecent assault; 2,190 felony charges of incest of a minor; 2,191 felony charges of indecent assault; and 2,191 felony charges of corruption of minors,” The Blaze reported.
On Tuesday, Perry was reportedly sentenced to 3,000 years in prison.
Court documents revealed that he is not eligible for parole until the year 3523.
The controversy arose after Perry sexually abused the girl at least once a day for six years.
In an exclusive report with WTAE-TV, Greene County District Attorney David Russo claimed that “the child was raped over and over and over again. So why wouldn’t you prosecute the one count for every single time the child was raped?”

“This brave little girl testified at trial that being raped every day became as normal as brushing your teeth. The testimony was horrifying. I am proud to announce Matthew Perry would have to live for 3,000 years in order to pay his debt to society. This is an unprecedented conviction and sentence and sets a milestone in the fight against sexual predators. I hope others district attorneys follow our lead in our mission to protect children.” Russo added.
“Today marks a milestone in the prosecution of sexual predators. The victims, in this case, were very happy with the sentence, and they feel justice has been served. I’m proud I can serve my community prosecuting cases, which are leading to longer and more appropriate sentences against sexual predators,” he continued.
According to the authorities, Perry was arrested for the child sexual abuse while he was awaiting trial over charges of raping another girl.
“During his life as a fugitive, his wife, Cheyenna Perry, 40, took videos and photographs of a girl in what was reportedly described as sexual acts, and she sent that material to her husband. She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3.5 to 7 years in prison in exchange for cooperating with authorities against her husband.” Law & Crime reported.
