A Republican Congresswoman was violently ambushed in a restaurant this week, reports revealed.
Recently, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) released a statement, revealing how she was “attacked” by a “completely out of control” and “insane” woman while she was eating at a restaurant on Monday night.
According to the Republican, the suspect who attacked her also had her son harass her in front of other diners. She also added that she was minding her own business and “was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons.”
“I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane woman and screamed at by her adult son. They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views.” Greene said in a statement.
The Georgia congresswoman also called her attackers “self righteous, insane, and completely out of control,” and added that “people used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.”
This wasn’t the first time that the fiery Georgia Republican was physically attacked and received violent threats.

Earlier this month, Greene was threatened by a 51-year old man from New York.
According to the reports, the man pleaded guilty to leaving multiple voicemails on Greene’s phone where he reportedly threatened to hurt the Republican.
“I just don’t think I can go on letting you, you know, cause hatred and poison to people. I really think I’m gonna have to cause you harm — physical harm. l’m gonna have to take your life into my own hands. I’m gonna hurt you. Physically, I’m gonna harm you,” the man, Joseph Francis Morelli reportedly told Greene.
Furthermore, in a separate voicemail, Morelli reportedly told Greene that he was going to “pay someone 500 bucks to take a baseball bat and crack your skull.”
A third voicemail from the same person also detailed how he would “make sure that, even if they lock me up, someone’s gonna get you ’cause I’ll pay them to.”
Reports revealed that Morelli is currently facing a maximum fine of $250,000 and jail time up to 5 years in prison.
