Illegal immigrants attempted to break into an American woman’s door in Texas before breaking into the house of her neighbor.

Security footage from the Texas woman’s ranch house just 50 miles away from the southern border showed illegal immigrants trying to break into the house.

The incident was immediately reported to the Border Patrol. However, upon their arrival at the Eagle Pass home, the suspects had already fled.

In an official statement released by Fox News Correspondent Bill Melugin on December 29, who also interviewed the victim, he revealed that the “property owner tells me this has happened before, & she has spent $13k upgrading security.”

“Property owner tells me the men successfully broke into her neighbor’s home after they left hers, and that they were gone by the time Border Patrol responded. She said she latched her front door’s deadbolt to a steel frame so they couldn’t get into hers this time.” Melugin added.

The recent report came after Chief Manuel Mello of the Eagle Pass Fire Department claimed that “I’ll invite any politician who says this border is secure to come down to Eagle Pass so I can show them personally if it’s secure or not,” last month about his border town.

Mello’s border town has reportedly become a prime site for illegal aliens who attempt to enter the United States through the border. According to the reports, the town has been seeing roughly 2,000 illegal crossings each day.

“We’ve got people from all over the world crossing over. You see ’em in town, you see ’em everywhere.” Mello continued.

Amid the controversy, Ron Vitiello, former Deputy Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) also asserted “So what are you telling the Third World? Now is the time to come,” during an interview with the CBS.

“To suggest that they’re going to be removed because they came here illegally, like it’s gonna happen, is a fantasy.” Vitiello added.

“It’s never been this bad. Six to eight thousand people every 24 hours crossing the border. They inherited a border that was experiencing 40-year lows in illegal crossings. We’ve never had a situation where we have an uncontrollable surge on the border and the people responsible for abating it have walked away,” he claimed.

Lt. Efrain Valdez of the Eagle Pass Sheriff’s Department also released a statement, claiming that illegal immigrants “come to this area because they don’t have to deal with a lot of cartels like in Tamaulipas, the other states.”

Recently, Fox News published a report alleging that illegal immigrants have killed pets, burglarized stores and rapped on homes’ doors late at night in Eagle Pass.

“I don’t feel safe,” Laura Ramos, who owns a business in the town, claimed. She also added that she keeps “several weapons” at her store and has instructed her children how to use tasers.

“It’s something that has had to be done because we don’t know what can happen. We don’t know these people or where they come from,” she declared.
