Former Twitter executive and safety chief admitted that the social media platform screwed former US President Donald Trump and censored stories on Hunter Biden’s laptop controversy.

Recently, Twitter’s head of trust and safety Yoel Roth came clean and exposed the previous top members for censoring laptop controversies against Hunter Biden after he resigned from his post, following Musk’s purchase of the platform.

In an exclusive interview with Kara Swisher, Roth revealed that they restricted people from sharing the bombshell story.

However, he denied that he was responsible for the decision Twitter made.

“It’s widely reported that I personally directed the suppression of the Hunter Biden story. That is not true. It is absolutely, unequivocally untrue. We didn’t know what to believe, we didn’t know what was true, there was smoke — and ultimately for me, it didn’t reach a place where I was comfortable removing this content from Twitter,” Roth claimed.

“But it set off every single one of my finely tuned APT28 ‘hack and leak campaign’ alarm bells,” he added.

Amid the interview, Roth also admitted that the censorship on Hunter’s story on the platform was a mistake.

“In my opinion, yes. It went off the rails in exactly the ways that we anticipated,” Roth said regarding the since-delayed rollout of the new verification system under Elon Musk’s ownership.

The previous Twitter top employee who resigned following Twitter’s transition also defended Musk. According to him, they have a good relationship.

When asked to give Musk some advice, Roth claimed that “Humility goes a really long way.”

Roth’s interview came amid the controversy after Twitter CEO Billionaire Elon Musk exposed the dirty tricks of Twitter’s previous administration, alleging that it had interfered with elections.

According to Musk, Twitter allegedly interfered in elections and accused the platform of being untrustworthy in terms of safety for a very long time.

“Exactly. The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections. Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed.” Musk claimed.
