Leftists slammed Twitter CEO Elon Musk for reactivating former US President Donald Trump’s Twitter account more than a year after being permanently suspended from the platform.
On Saturday, Elon Musk declared that former president Trump would be reinstated following a poll that he conducted to determine whether Trump’s account would be reinstated for the first time since it was suspended.
According to the reports, Musk’s poll has garnered more than 15 million votes with the majority, voting to reinstate Trump’s account.
“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” Musk announced.
Moreover, immediately after Musk declared the result of the Poll, Trump’s Twitter account was reactivated and was changed from its previous “Account suspended” status to show all the 45th president’s posts.

Last Friday, while the poll was ongoing, the former president shared the link to Musk’s Twitter poll on his platform with a caption that says, “Vote now with positivity, but don’t worry, we aren’t going anywhere.”
He also reiterated his intention to remain active primarily on his Truth Social platform, saying “Truth Social is special!”
However, following Musk’s declaration, several leftists are losing their minds, blasting Musk’s decision.
“Elon Musk is letting a man who led a violent Insurrection to overthrow the United States Government back on this platform. Letting the Lies and Disinformation continue to poison the American bloodstream.” Rob Reiner lamented.
“After this week, Terrorist Trump’s $8 would constitute half of Musk’s income from twitter.” Keith Olbermann alleged.
Frank Figliuzzi also alleged that it was the “The Russian bots have spoken.”
“Just when you think it can’t get any worse… no ifs , no ands, just Bots.” Kenneth Cole.
Furthermore, Josh Gad went on to slam Musk, calling him “truly an asshole and an anarchist.”
Musk’s declaration came after Twitter also reinstated The Babylon Bee, Jordan Peterson, and Kathy Griffin’s accounts.
Last year, Twitter permanently suspended former President Trump’s account following the January 6 Capitol riot.
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” the company said in a statement at that time.
