American citizens across the United States are complaining against the current status of the economy and shared how the surging inflation has affected their lives.

In an exclusive interview conducted by Fox News with several American citizens, it was revealed that the soaring inflation has driven them insane as it’s making it difficult to feed their families.

“It’s outrageous. It’s getting crazy. How expensive just going to the food market is. It’s almost doubled from the last couple of years, especially with the large family that I have.” Alfred, from Oklahoma City lamented.

However, Cassidy, who is also from Oklahoma, claimed that “I’m doing okay.” However, she claimed that “2020 was a real dip. In 2021, it was kind of coming back, so it feels like it’s sort of returning to normal. Not exactly, but closer than what it was.”

According to the Department of Labor, just this June, the overall inflation has hit 9.1%, a 40-year high — before easing slightly.

Economists also revealed that they expected that the report that would be released on Thursday would show that September’s core inflation, which excludes food and energy, hit another 40-year high at 6.5%, a Bloomberg survey found.

“I was doing really good, and now we’re not. We make decent money, but it doesn’t make a difference.” Cara from Bellingham.

Tim, in Nashville, echoed her sentiments saying, “Everything I like to buy cost more money, he said. “I don’t like it. Gas, food, vacation” and his wife added that “I just retired, and I’m a little nervous about what’s going to happen with my pension.”

On Wednesday, the Energy Information Administration projected that “Consumers could pay up to 28% more to heat their homes this winter compared to last year due to surging fuel costs. Additionally, the cost of food for home preparation was up 13.5% in August compared to the year prior.”

“It’s been exponential. I work a minimum wage job, and just buying food, it takes over like a third of my income.” Justin, from Bellingham said.

Elizabeth, a fellow Bellingham resident also claimed that “It’s to the point where I don’t even hardly shop anymore. It’s ridiculous to go in the store and you can’t buy meat, eggsI came out with two small bags and paid over $100.”
