Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki claimed that the Democrats will lose with the midterm elections this November a “referendum” on President Biden.

In a statement released by Psaki during an interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday, a former press secretary of the White House who left in May to grab a job offer at MSNBC, he declared that if the midterms would focus on the “most extreme” party, the Democrats will be celebrating on election day.

“If it is a referendum on the president, they will lose. And they know that. They also know that crime is a huge vulnerability for Democrats, I would say one of the biggest vulnerabilities,” Psaki said.

According to her, has been watching how the US Senate race plays out in Pennsylvania between GOP celebrity heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz and Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, the Democratic candidate.

She also accused the Republicans of running ads painting Fetterman as soft on crime.

“What’s been interesting to me is it’s always you follow the money, and where are people spending money. And in Pennsylvania, the Republicans have been spending millions of dollars on the air on crime ads against Fetterman because that’s where they see his vulnerability,” she said.

“So, yes, the economy is hanging over everything. But you do have to look at state-by-state factors, and crime is a huge issue in the Pennsylvania race,” Psaki added.

In a recently released survey on Sunday, conducted by Washington Post/ABC News, Biden’s approval ratings was revealed to have climbed into the mid-40s from the dregs in recent polls. The president’s disapproval rating is at 53%.

Last May, Psaki announced that she was joining MSNBC after leaving her position at the White House as the Press Secretary.

“Fact-based and thoughtful conversations about the big questions on the minds of people across the country have never been more important, and I’m thrilled to join the incredible MSNBC team,” Psaki said in a statement at that time.

“Jen’s sharp wit and relatability combined with the mastery of the subjects she covers have made her a household name across the nation,” MSNBC president Rashida Jones said of the hire.
