US Hostage expert reveals that WNBA Star Brittney Griner is currently facing harsh conditions in Gulag.
As the ongoing crisis in Ukraine continues with the United States and its allied countries, attempting to intervene in the situation by imposing sanctions on Russia, it appears that Brittney Griner is not getting out anytime soon.
Although the Biden administration currently has Russian prisoners to trade with Putin in exchange for Griner’s freedom, Biden is currently in the tight spot after US Hostage expert Amy Manson, revealed that the conditions in the gulag are especially tough for elite athletes.

“They face the reality of poor nutrition, sometimes no access to fresh air or actual daylight. Some of our returnees face as much as 50 to 60 to 70 pounds lost. And then we’re talking about muscle wastage, as well as the impact on their bodies of constant poor nutrition and constant stress.” Manson said.
Meanwhile, just recently, US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price released a statement and revealed that “We have been in contact with the Richardson Center.”
Price also revealed that the US has made an offer to Russians regarding the said matter.
“We made a significant offer to the Russians. We have followed up on that proposal repeatedly. Those discussions are ongoing.”
In addition, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also released a statement, saying “One of the reasons he is meeting with the families is that he wanted to let them know that they remain front of mind and that his team is working on this every day — on making sure that Brittney and Paul return home safely.”
Following the recent announcement, WNBA league commissioner Cathy Engelbert responded and claimed, “As we prepare to start this great series, it’s important to reiterate that we are always thinking of Brittney Griner and our commitment to bring her home safely and as quickly as possible. I am so inspired by her courage in the face of enormous adversity.”
Brittney Griner’s wife also released a statement, thanking President Biden for the recent news.
“I want to thank President Biden for today’s meeting. It was an honor to speak with him directly about the Brittney we know and love, and to thank him for the Administration’s efforts to secure her release. I’ve felt every minute of the grueling seven months without her. I look forward to the day my wife is back home.”
