US President Joe Biden is underwater after using a taxpayer-funded jet and motorcades only to travel from Washington D.C, to Delaware on Tuesday.

According to the reports, Biden’s purpose of travelling to Delaware was to vote.

Reports also revealed that Biden employed Air Force One, two motorcades and local police protection so he could travel from the White House to his hometown to vote.

Typically, most presidents including both ex-presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump filed absentee ballots to avoid the cost of traveling to their home states.

However, in President Biden’s case, he made the trip to vote in person and even told the reporters on Tuesday that he was boarding Air Force One simply “to vote.”

Although the exact cost of Joe Biden’s trip to Delaware is still unclear, the Air Force disclosed in 2014 that the “average cost per flying hour (CPFH) of the Presidential Boeing 747 was $206,337.”

However, Bloomberg also reported that President Biden took the smaller Boeing 757 version of AF1 on the trip and estimated that the average cost of travel for a U.S. president is roughly $2,600 per minute.

President Biden and his first lady Jill Biden left Washington for a Delaware trip at roughly 6 p.m. They voted, hopped back on Air Force One and were flying back to Washington by 8 p.m.

Amid the controversy, when asked for a comment, the White House did not immediately respond as to why President Biden decided to vote in person. The House also did not clarify the cost of the trip.

In both 2014 and 2010, former President Barack Obama voted absentee in the Illinois Democratic primaries.

Former President Donald Trump also voted absentee in the 2018 and 2020 general elections, Bloomberg revealed.

Just recently, critics have been attacking Biden’s frequent visits to Delaware as president, spending 170 days at his beach house since gaining office.

“After spending much of his summer vacation on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, President Biden is heading back to his multimillion-dollar beach house in his home state of Delaware, where he’s building a taxpayer-funded security fence at a cost that’s ballooned to nearly $500,000,” Fox News reported.
