US Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent remark sparked mockery and criticism after she talked about the launch of the Artemis rocket which failed on Monday.
Just recently, Harris released a statement regarding the launch.
“We have people who have been working for decades to do the work that has been about America’s leadership in terms of space exploration, and today is very much on that path about showing the great work that happens…how exciting is that?” Harris declared.
“The Artemis program is the beginning of the next era of what we have a history and a tradition of doing, of providing vision and inspiring innovation in a way that is going to benefit all mankind and womankind,” the Vice President added.
Harris also spewed that the “Artemis program is the beginning of the next era of what we have a history and a tradition of doing, of providing vision and inspiring innovation in a way that is going to benefit all mankind and womankind.”
The Nasa’s anticipated Artemis 1 Moon Launch failed to get off the ground this week after scientists found a hydrogen leak on board.
Immediately after the cancellation, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson announced, “we don’t launch until it’s right. You don’t want to light the candle until it’s ready to go.”
In the report released by Technology Science, the Artemis launch failure was explained.
“The SLS ‘s principal propellants, hydrogen and oxygen, must be chilled to -423°F (-253°C) and -294°F (-145°C), respectively. This enables designers to pack more fuel into the rocket for more effective propulsion, but it also necessitates complicated infrastructure both on the ground and inside the spacecraft,” the report read.
“Imagine that the tank that stores the rocket’s hydrogen propellant is 130 feet long and compresses by 6 inches when filled with super-chilled fuel,” it added.
Harris’ remarks come as Americans continue to criticize her and the Biden administration for their response to the increasing crime rates, surge in gas and food prices, border crisis and the record-high inflation in the United States.
On Monday, the Vice President was mocked after she was stuck to the script when asked about who was ‘footing the bill’ for President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan.
“Well, let’s start with this: First of all, a lot of the same people who are criticizing what we rightly did in following through on a commitment that we made to forgive student loan debt are the same people who voted for a tax cut for the richest Americans,” Harris responded, pivoting a talking point previously delivered by the president instead of asking the question directly.
