A Democrat candidate refused to answer the direct question whether she’s interested in campaigning with US President Joe Biden.

In an interview with CNN’s Boris Sanchez on Saturday, Florida Democratic candidate Annette Taddeo didn’t appear to want Joe Biden to campaign with her for the upcoming elections after she was asked about it.

Sanchez noted the president’s 40 percent approval rating in most polls, making the Democrat squirm and did her best to dodge the direct question without answering “yes” or “no.”

“Would you like to see him come down to campaign with you?” Sanchez asked.

“Look, I know that I have my own campaign to win, and we will get lots of help from lots of people, but at the end of the day, I know that the way that I win this race is by us actually telling my story, telling why we need a real representative. We have somebody right now that votes constantly against our community,” Taddeo responded.

The Democrat then went on to tell her story to change the topic and blasted her opponent, Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL) by accusing Salazar of thinking that she’s in a “reality show.”

Taddeo’s controversial remarks against President Biden came amid reports of the President’s increasing approval rating following the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

According to the analysis reported by Gallup recently, “Biden’s 44% approval rating is up six points from July’s record low” which is his highest in a year after hitting a record low in July.

“While this uptick represents a significant improvement on the heels of several policy successes for Biden, he still remains underwater overall, with 53% of Americans disapproving of his job performance,” Gallup added.

The data also revealed that “the increase in Biden’s job rating is largely buoyed by political independents, whose approval rose from 31% last month to the current 40%. Democrats’ (81%) and Republicans’ (4%) ratings of Biden have not significantly changed over the same period.”

In addition, Taddeo also talked about President Biden’s student debt forgiveness program and offered some positive words about it. However, the Democrat’s praise was reserved for Democrats as a whole.

“What I will tell you is that we as Democrats are delivering on solutions for people to actually get ahead at a time when they need us to deliver,” the Democrat claimed.
