A massive number of people living in blue states such as California and New York are fleeing to red states as they seek a better way of life.

Recent reports revealed that as crime and homelessness continue to take over the woke, left-wing cities due to a number of radical policies and defund the police agendas, residents are getting more afraid of their safety and security.

As crime rates spike, both New York and California have also seen a spike in “For Sale” signs, with other cities driving families out faster than others due to its rampant homeless crisis.

In a recently published data by the U.S. Census Bureau, it was revealed that Portland’s population has dropped by over 11,000 residents. The data also confirmed that the number keeps climbing.

Residents claimed that the once lovely city with so much potential has turned into an “unsafe, liberal-loving crime haven with a massive drug and homeless problem,” prompting them to leave while thousands of homeless people are lining the streets with others using needles on the sidewalks.

The mayor’s office revealed that nearly 6,000 homeless people currently reside in Portland.

According to Real estate broker Lauren Iaquinta, Portland families are deciding to escape their homes because of the homeless.

“It’s neighborhood by neighborhood. You can be driving through North Portland and you’re in this lovely area where there’s no issues, and then you can make a turn around the corner and have homeless camps there. It’s kind of sad. I’ve been doing this for 10 years here in Portland and it’s changed quite a bit,” Lauquinta said.

She also added that the most horrible aspect of the current crisis in the city is that the “homeless encampments are moving to the suburbs, making residents fearful about whether or not they can even go in their own yards at night.”

“I would say the migration to the suburbs, I’ve seen quite a bit in the last two years… Most people don’t want to have to worry about whether they can leave their car parked in their driveway overnight without maybe having it broken into. It’s a pretty testy subject,” she claimed.

In 2021, Portland became the epicenter for Antifa members and other violent protesters. During the summer,  riots continuously caused fear to the residents and since then, the city has not bounced back.
