WH Effort to Clean up After Biden and Harris Goes Wrong

The White House was ridiculed after it was forced again to clean up the mess after US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris made a mess of things.

Just recently, Harris made a controversial remark after she compared the Supreme Court’s decision, overturning a constitutional right to abortion to America’s history of slavery.

“We know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies,” Harris claimed.

“And today, extremists, so-called leaders are criminalizing doctors and punishing women for making health-care decisions for themselves, personal decisions that it is her right to make in consultation with her doctor, her pastor, her priest, her rabbi, her loved ones, not her government telling her what to do,” she added.

“And these so-called leaders, so-called, claim that, ‘Well, you know, we just think that this is a decision that should be made by the folks in the states. People in the states can vote on this. Right? But at this moment, many of those same so-called leaders are the same ones who are passing laws to restrict the ability of people to vote.”

Harris’ comments sparked public outrage and now White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled about the controversy.

According to Jean-Pierre she hadn’t seen Harris’ remarks. However, she claimed that the vice president was “correct. Today’s decisions are criminalizing doctors and essentially taking the rights away from women, taking the freedom away from women. Really taking away people’s privacy. ”

“That does matter. And that is important,” she added.

The press secretary was also grilled by the media about the Biden administration’s response to the rising gas prices.

It started after Fox’s Peter Doocy blasted Jean-Pierre’s effort and pointed out how much gas prices have gone up since Biden came in.

“First of all, we have to look at the imp—how we got there, right?” The press secretary responded.

On Thursday, Jean-Pierre took to Twitter to brag about falling gas prices and slammed oil refiners accusing them of profiteering.

“So, gas prices have been declining across the country. In the past more than 30 days we have seen gas prices go down by more than 50 cents per gallon,” Jean-Pierre said.

“In more than 20,000 gas stations just across the country, as you’ll see in this graph, you will see gas prices less than $4. At current prices, the average American driver will spend about $25 per month less on gasoline than they would have if prices had stayed at their June peak. But gas prices aren’t coming down at the same pace as declining oil prices,” the press secretary added.
