ABC’s liberal daytime gabfest “The View” received a lot of heat lately after its co-host Sunny Hostin called Black Republicans an “oxymoron,” and added that she couldn’t understand how any Latinos or Black could be in the GOP.
During the ABC’s segment, Hostin, guest co-host Lindsey Granger broke and co-host Ana Navarro broke into an all out war of words, debating about the potential conflict of interest between CNN reporter Suzanne Malveaux and newly tapped White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
The hosts discussed whether it was an issue for Malveaux and Jean-Pierre to be in their respective positions, considering their relationship.

Although, Hostin, Navarro and Sara Haines pushed back on the notion, Granger reacted and argued that they needed to be realistic “about what happens when you’re in bed with somebody.” He also added that people didn’t want to see situations where the media gives a politician an advantage.
Moreover, amid the discussion, Grander argued that she didn’t agree with everything former US President Donald Trump did and that she was “a Black woman first.”
“Are you a Republican?” Hostin asked Granger, to which she confirmed she was.
“I feel like it’s an oxymoron, a Black Republican,” Hostin said, interrupting her.
“Why? Your friend right here is a Republican,” Granger shot back, referring to Ana Navarro, who identifies as a Republican.
In the middle of the conversation, Granger brough up Hostin’s statement, admitting that she’s a Catholic and she disagrees with abortion. However, she also advocates for abortion to be legal.
“I don’t understand either of you,” Hostin said, again interrupting Granger.
“No you don’t understand yourself then,” Granger clapped back.
“I don’t understand either of you. I don’t understand Black Republicans and I don’t understand Latino Republicans.” Hostin repeated.
