US President Joe Biden was strongly criticized for attempting to shake hands with thin air after he gave a speech on Thursday.
During the speech, the US president blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for the 70% increase in inflation across the country amid the ongoing tension between Russia and Ukraine.
“What people don’t know is that 70% of the increase in inflation was the consequence of Putin’s Price Hike.” Biden said.

However, Biden was slammed after his speech for insulting everyone’s intelligence.
The US president’s critics argued that putting the blame on “Putin’s price hike” is laughable since the inflation across the United States had already been increasing prior to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Still, I’m most struck by the fact that Biden thinks Americans are just absolute morons. No amount of repeating “Putin’s price hike” is going to convince most people that inflation wasn’t a problem until a month ago.” The RedState wrote.
Moreover, Biden’s critics blamed the US president and his policies, claiming that inflation had already started after he won the election.
“That’s because of Biden’s policies, as evidenced by the fact that inflation only started to rise precipitously after his election. The administration owns all of this. Every bit of it.” It added.
Biden was also ridiculed online for his gesture upon ending his speech, where he was seen trying to shake hands with the thin air and then wandered looking confused.
