House Speaker Nancy Pelosi slammed following her statement on the Russian Invasion.
In the recent statement she released during a conference with the Press, Nancy Pelosi didn’t seem to have a clue what country Russia is poised to invade.
“If you look at the map and you see Hungary and you see how it is encircled on. Russia, Belarus, Crimea which they have taken over by, you know, it’s still a danger now to Ukraine and then you see Poland and Romania and all of those countries just abutting it, that’s Russian influence.” Pelosi described.
However, her statement went viral and Pelosi was criticized and ridiculed by the public after experts argued that Hungary is not really under threat of Russian invasion so far as anyone else knows.
Meanwhile, others also gave her the benefit of the doubt, arguing that “maybe Pelosi would like to share whatever knowledge she picked up while having cocktails with her Capitol Hill pals.”
Just recently, US President Biden made a series of remarks regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Although repeatedly had warned Russia of the potential sanctions in case of invasion, the US president made it clear that he has no interest in fighting Russia but defending every inch of NATO territory.
“Let me be clear, these are totally defensive moves on our part. We have no intention of fighting Russia. We want to send an unmistakable message, though, that the United States, together with our allies will defend every inch of NATO territory and abide by the commitments we made to NATO.” Biden said.
