White House gets grilled whether the dominance of Transgenders in Women’s sports is fair following the controversies involving Transgender Lia Thomas, competing in NCAA women’s swimming.
This came after Thomas won Ivy League championships in three different events and broke multiple records in the process.
Amid the controversies where critics continuously slam Thomas for dominating the women’s sport, the White House has faced questions whether the changes in NCAA women’s swimming has changed the president’s stand on whether biological males should be allowed to compete in female sports.
However, the Biden administration refused to answer and his previous support for transgenders, trying to ensure that “biologically male athletes who identify as transgender girls are allowed to compete in female athletics,” has resurfaced.
Previously, Biden campaigned on passing the Equality Act to amend the federal anti-discrimination law, making “gender identity” a protected category.
According to the bill, schools across the country would be required to permit “biologically male athletes who identify as transgender girls to compete in female athletics.”
Meanwhile, despite the government’s support for Transgenders athletes in women’s sports, parents and other competitors have voiced out in frustration about the unfairness of the whole situation.
“I’ve said from the beginning, biological boys should not be playing in women’s sports. We need to protect women’s sports. [Lia Thomas] is also not good for women’s sports.It’s unfortunate that this is happening… She was born as a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger. Her respiratory system is bigger. Her hands are bigger. She can swim faster. That’s known,” Former Olympic gold medal-winning athlete Caitlyn Jenner said, slamming the NCAA.
Moreover, another female swimmer who asked to remain anonymous described how she feared to get attacked and destroy her life by the liberals and said that “Pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this. Our coach just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches. I secretly think everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do. the swimmer said and claimed that the public support for Thomas is “very fake.”
