Arizona has said it wants to completely ban abortion, and this will likely happen in the next couple of months. Because of this decision, California is getting ready for a flood of expecting women from Arizona who want to get abortions.

Many people from states that have made it harder to get an abortion or that have made changes that are hard to understand have found safety in California centers. Since Roe v. Wade, the case that allowed abortion in the 1970s was overturned, there has been a lot of talk about abortion.

A law in Arizona that banned almost everything for years wasn’t allowed because of Roe v. Wade. Since the law was overturned, Arizona is trying to make the abortion ban law.

An OB-GYN named Pratima Gupta said that the rules about abortion were hard to understand. As she put it, “There was a lot of confusion among both patients and providers about what they could and could not do to follow the law.”

Gupta told the story of a patient who drove four hours from Arizona to get an abortion. The patient asked to go home right away because she had to get back to her child who was being watched by someone else.

She said that clinics were closing because of the recent decision. Doctors were afraid of what would happen if they performed an abortion under the new state laws and restrictions.

Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, made sure to sign a number of bills that would protect women who needed abortions and allow the state to continue to allow them. Many women have found this to be an “abortion sanctuary” in the state.
