Actress Evangeline Lilly, famous for her Marvel movies and Lost, protested against vaccine mandates on her social media account.
The actress posted about a rally she attended in Washington. D.C. this weekend in support of “body sovereignty” about COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
“This is not the way. This is not safe. This is not healthy. This is not love. I understand the world is in fear, but I don’t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems. I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today,” Lilly wrote on her instagram post.

“I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of: violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, starvation, loss of education, alienation from loved ones, excommunication from society…under any threat whatsoever.” She added.
Lilly has been actively voicing out her opinions and stand since the beginning of pandemic in March 2020 wherein she announced that she would refuse social distancing ““all in the name of a respiratory flu” which ignited critics and comments against her. She immediately posted an apology after the backlash with her social distancing post.
“I want to offer my sincere and heartfelt apology for the insensitivity I showed in my previous post to the very real suffering and fear that has gripped the world through COVID19. I thought I was infusing calm into the hysteria. I can see now that I was projecting my own fears into an already fearful and traumatic situation,” Lilly wrote in her apology post.
It was the last of 2021 when CDC decided to implement a full vaccination requirement for all non immigrant and non-citizen travellers to the U.S. CDC also recommends people to get their COVID-19 jabs as recent studies have shown that the vaccine sharply reduces severity of COVID-19 virus and the likelihood of death.
