Apple is making chips that will let AI software run in data centers

Apple has been working on Project ACDC, which stands for “Apple Chips in Data Center,” for a number of years. They have been making chips that will run software with artificial intelligence in data centers.

Apple and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. have been working together on the creation and production of the chip, but it’s not clear if this endeavor has been successful. The Wall Street Journal said that Apple’s server chip will probably be used to stop AI from training models instead of teaching them.

These machine-learning models can draw conclusions from brand-new data because they have been taught to deal with AI interference. Google and other big tech companies have already put money into making their own AI-blocking computer chips. Many experts say that Apple is behind other companies in investing in AI because Microsoft and other big companies have already put billions of dollars into AI.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the company was “investing significantly” in AI and that they would make an announcement later this year. Experts say that the announcement will happen at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

“AI has the power and promise to change everything,” Tim Cook said. “We believe we have advantages that will set us apart in this new era.”

Cook told investors on Apple’s most recent earnings call that the company would keep putting money into AI. Apple’s earnings for the second quarter were better than predicted, even though their revenue dropped 4% because fewer iPhones were sold. The company also said it would buy back 100 billion dollars worth of shares, which would make the prices of shares go up.
